Warming trend begins soon
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - We’ll get to enjoy one or maybe two more days of below normal temperatures. A warming trend will be taking place into mid-week as we await the arrival of our next cold front.
Many locations in and around Baton Rouge will enjoy another morning start in the upper 40°s Monday morning. We say goodbye to the 40°s for the remainder of the 10-day forecast. After early morning clouds, skies will clear, but the sunshine will only warm things into the mid to upper 70°s. Humidity levels will remain very comfortable.
Humidity will be returning Tuesday afternoon. Moisture levels will be high enough Wednesday to spark sct’d to numerous showers and t-storms. Severe weather is not anticipated. The next cold front will be working into the area on Thursday keeping sct’d t-showers in the forecast. A few showers look to linger into Friday morning before we trend dry for the upcoming weekend.
Next weekend is shaping up to be another nice one. Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than mid week and skies will remain mostly sunny. Outdoor plans are a go. Warmer weather quickly returns for the following work/school week with a few iso’d afternoon t-showers each day.
The tropics are quiet. No development is expected within at least the next 5 days.
