BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested a man on Wednesday, March 22, in connection with a shooting earlier in the month that left one person dead.

Rashawn Alexander, aka “Hotboy Due,” 20, is charged with first-degree murder, possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies, distribution/possession of marijuana, and illegal use of weapons, officials said.

According to BRPD, Nicholas Williams, 35, was found shot to death on Alliquipa Street near Mohican Street on Sunday, March 5, around 8:45 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
