Kathy's Smile Story:
My name is Kathy Farber and I am 44 years old. I live in Denham Springs, Louisiana and as requested I am attaching a picture of myself. Actually it's a picture of me with my husband Steven and friend Chris. You'll notice me, I'm the only girl pictured, but also the only one smiling not showing my teeth. This is my "signature smile." never showing any teeth because I am so ashamed of them. I think my last memory of actually smiling with my teeth showing was in the third grade and actually being teased at the way my teeth looked. I have two beautiful children and am so thankful and blessed that they inherited their father's great smile. It is a daily remembrance for me not to smile showing my teeth, as I don't want to be embarrassed in front of my co-workers and peers. I always said if I ever won the lottery I'd get mt teeth fixed, my son says when he grows up and becomes a doctor, he'll get them fixed for me, he's ten. My most memorable times in my life that are captured in pictures from my wedding day to the birth of my children, to being thrilled when my son made a touchdown to my daughter winning the spelling bee, all show me being none-the-less proud, but not having a what I consider a true smile showing my teeth. I would be so thankful if I could be considered for your contest. My life is very full of blessings and of course I will go on with my daily life and all of it's happenings, but how precious would my life be if I could have a great smile and let people know I am as happy inside as my smile is on the outside!
